Blacklist Removal Basics

If your domain or IP is listed, do not rush straight to the delisting form. Fix the cause first.

First confirm the listing

  • Which zone listed you
  • Whether it is the IP, the domain, or a linked URL
  • Whether the listing is current or already cleared

Then fix the root cause

  • Stop abusive or unexpected traffic
  • Remove broken lists or scraped contacts
  • Tighten authentication and unsubscribe behavior
  • Check compromised accounts or scripts

Only then request removal

  • Follow the list’s delisting process
  • Provide a clear summary of what changed
  • Do not repeat the same traffic pattern after removal

Listings often come back when the root operational problem is left unchanged.
