Run Your First Deliverability Test
Deliverlens is meant to answer one question quickly: what does this exact message look like when mailbox providers inspect it?
Step 1: Generate a test inbox
- Open the home page.
- Create a disposable inbox.
- Copy the generated address exactly as shown.
Step 2: Send one representative message
- Use the real provider or SMTP relay you care about.
- Keep the normal From domain, subject, body, and links.
- Do not forward a message from another inbox; send it directly.
Step 3: Wait for analysis
- The report page will stay in an analyzing state until the inbox is fetched.
- Once the message is stored, Deliverlens evaluates authentication, content, headers, and transport signals.
Step 4: Read the report in the right order
- Authentication: SPF, DKIM, DMARC
- Transport and DNS: MX, PTR, HELO, TLS-related checks
- Content and links: subject quality, URI warnings, SpamAssassin signals
- Attachments and message structure
What a good first test looks like
- Sent from the production sender identity
- Uses the exact links you plan to ship
- Includes the same tracking and unsubscribe behavior
- Avoids internal forwarding or mailbox rules
Common first-run mistakes
- Testing from Gmail while diagnosing your ESP domain
- Sending from a sandbox domain that is not used in production
- Treating a cached old report as the latest send
- Looking at content warnings before fixing authentication failures
Once the first report is clean, save that sender configuration as your baseline before making more campaign changes.
